Schedule:  FT 40 hours. Monday – Friday, will be working an 8-hr shift between the hours of 7am – 7pm.

 

Will be working rotating weekends 8am – 5pm (when working weekends, would be working Saturday and Sunday but would get one weekday off) – rotating weekends are once every 4 to 6 weeks. Will be required to work rotating holidays also – will work at least 2 holidays per year.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enter prescriptions from intake to order completion and verify member / patient data
  • Contact patients, pharmacists, and doctor's offices as a liaison for the pharmacy team
  • Communicate clearly and concisely via phone and electronic methods to patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers
  • Contact patients to complete refill assessments, request payment information, establish delivery details, and set up treatment in the Ambulatory Infusion Suite and/or other outpatient facilities
  • Access, input, and retrieve prescription and medical/lab information from computer system
  • Verify whether medication is reimbursable, and resolve rejected claims
  • Process prescription refills and interpret supply needs as related to various therapies
  • Resolve customer issues, ensuring accurate information is provided
  • Able to multitask and channel communication from various business partners, driving patient centric quality care
  • Follow all State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures, adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality code of ethics

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Arizona

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Windows PC applications including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift to 30 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Home Infusion experience

  • Pharmacy/prescription data entry experience

  • 1+ years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
