Testek Solutions is currently seeking a Jr. Machine Builder/Pipefitter.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist lead machine builder pipefitter in assembly of hydraulic & mechanical test equipment
  • Form and fasten piping, fixtures, and attachments required to service machine with air, water, and oil
  • May install wiring and electrical components to specifications
  • Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and professional manner
  • Fits and assembles components according to assembly schematics, manuals, and knowledge of machine construction to construct, rebuild, and repair machines using hand tools and power tools
  • Analyzes assembly schematics and specifications manual and plans machine building operations
  • Verifies conformance of parts to stock list and drawings
  • Lays out hole locations and drills and taps holes on parts for assembly
  • Aligns components for assembly, manually or with hoist, bolts, screws, dowels, welds, or rivets parts using hand tools, rivet gun, and welding equipment
  • Take part in the teardown and packaging of test equipment prior to shipment


Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience to demonstrate ability to perform the job.
  • Basic Shop Math
  • Must have a strong mechanical background
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be flexible and have the ability to work with others
  • Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced engineering/manufacturing environment


Preferred:

  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on pipe fitting experience.
  • Hydraulics knowledge
  • Pneumatics knowledge
  • Experience with motors and gear boxes preferred
  • Steel Fabrication
  • Pipe Bending
  • Experience building machines
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics
