We believe that our organization should model behavior that is nonviolent and uses power responsibly for personal and organizational action and growth.

Position Summary

Provide thoughtful, clinically sound interventions unique to each client/family and their situation.
Safety plan with every client/family.
Responsible for utilizing evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment models for clients, specific to their unique needs.
Assist with crisis intervention as needed.

Priority 3: Documentation

Responsible for conducting intake assessments, treatment plans, case notes, assessments, and all other documentation within the timeframe required.
Complete court reports and other letters for clients as needed depending on their situation.

Priority 4: Collaboration

Responsible for providing consultation to other professionals regarding domestic and sexual violence.
Collaborate and coordinate internally and externally to best assist clients.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

Other Duties/Responsibilities: Other assistance to support the overall goals of the department and organization. DVIS retains the right to add or change duties and/or responsibilities at any time.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Budgetary/Fiscal Responsibilities: No budgetary/fiscal responsibilities. Acts as a good steward of DVIS’s resources.

Documentation: Maintains up-to-date and accurate files for each client according to agency guidelines and current professional standards.

Meetings and Training: Attend meetings and training as requested by supervisor.

Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree required.

License: LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or under supervision for licensure. If not yet licensed, must be able to go under supervision upon the first date of employment.

Experience: Requires a minimum of one year of supervised experience providing therapy to adults and/or children; this may be acquired through graduate experience. Experience working with a nonprofit and with trauma is strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proven computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and Adobe, are necessary. Will need to efficiently utilize DVIS’ electronic health records system.

This position requires a candidate with a commitment to disrupting domestic violence using a holistic lens to support people who commit harm and survivors of interpersonal violence. An ideal candidate would be organized, collaborative, clinically skilled, invested in the community, gender equity, racial equity, and self-motivated. Knowledge of or experience working with social justice issues, specifically intimate partner, and gender-based domestic and sexual violence, and racial, class, gender, sexual orientation issues, and intervention/prevention services strongly preferred. Requires dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion, excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work and tasks. Requires adaptability to produce and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-task, and changing environment, with frequent pressure related to meeting deadlines and scheduling requirements. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have good negotiation skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with diplomacy.

Requires the ability to embrace, support, and integrate DVIS’s philosophies to promote and demonstrate DVIS’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity, and anti-racism.
Experience applying an equitable analysis to all duties to achieve organizational goals and demonstrate DVIS’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity, and anti-racism preferred.
Diplomacy in confronting personal, individual, and internal discrimination requiring sharing and discussing personal identities relative to the work environment is strongly preferred.
Requires sophisticated emotional intelligence and resiliency skills to lead and/or actively participate in advancing our work relative to racial, social, and economic justice.
