Location: Projects are based throughout NC and SC. Kershaw, SC is the initial project location

Sequoia Services, a leading civil and environmental contractor, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Traveling Project Engineer to join our team for large Civil Construction Projects throughout NC and SC..

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to develop detailed work plans.
Review shop drawings and product submittals.
Conduct site assessments, including environmental evaluations, to identify potential challenges and ensure compliance with regulations.
Provide technical support and guidance to field teams, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
Monitor project progress, conduct quality control checks, and maintain accurate documentation of activities.
Work with Project Manager to write RFIs, Change Request, and Daily Reports.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainable practices throughout the project.
Provide quantity complete documentation for monthly invoices.
Track Equipment and Man-hours to accurately reflect project cost to estimated cost.
General layout and survey using GPS.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Field Engineer or Project Engineer in Heavy Civil Construction.
Strong knowledge of civil and environmental engineering principles and construction methodologies.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
Working knowledge of GPS Equipment.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
Strong desire to work on a team and contribute to growth.
Experience with Trimble Business Center, Agtek, AutoCAD 3D (Preferred)
Willing to travel and/or Relocate.
