Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join the Rehab Unit. An Occupational Therapist works with individuals of all ages who have physical, developmental, cognitive, or emotional challenges to help them regain or develop the skills needed for daily living and meaningful activities. Occupational therapists assess patients' abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to improve their functional independence, enhance quality of life, and promote participation in everyday activities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, sensory, and psychosocial functioning, including evaluating their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), work-related tasks, and leisure activities.
• Develop customized treatment plans based on patients' assessment findings, goals, and priorities, collaborating with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to establish realistic and meaningful rehabilitation objectives.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and techniques to address patients' specific needs and goals, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, adaptive equipment training, cognitive rehabilitation, sensory integration, and environmental modifications.
• Provide hands-on training and guidance to patients in performing tasks and activities that are essential for daily living and community participation, such as dressing, grooming, cooking, driving, job tasks, and recreational pursuits.
• Recommend, select, and train patients in the use of assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and technologies to facilitate independence, improve safety, and overcome barriers to participation in daily activities.
• Conduct assessments of patients' home environments, workspaces, and community settings to identify environmental barriers and recommend modifications or accommodations to promote accessibility, safety, and independence.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards and insurance requirements, ensuring continuity of care and communication with other healthcare providers.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT) by the appropriate governing body.
• Clinical experience in a variety of settings, such as hospitals, clinics, schools, rehabilitation centers, or community-based programs.

Working Conditions:
