Iris Memory Care of Tulsa is looking for certified medication aides (CMAs). *We have full-time and part-time shifts available, and we have particular need for 2pm - 10pm.*

We are a small, freestanding memory care assisted living community conveniently located off of the Creek Turnpike at E 101st and Mingo. We have a small campus with a total of 54 residents split between three buildings. As a community focused on memory care, all of our residents are coping with Alzheimer's or other form of dementia. We are an age-in-place community, so you will care for residents all throughout the spectrum of the disease.

Rate of pay for CMAs on the second shift starts at $18 per hour and those with advancements start at $18.50 per hour. Rate of pay is negotiable based upon experience. *Priority will be given to candidates who have worked in memory care before.

Specific Responsibilities:*
Responsible for providing Resident services and other duties as assigned. Duties include personal services, activities of daily living, housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, life enrichment, meal services, and other tasks as needed for Resident care and service delivery.

Primary Essential Job Duties:*

* Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Residents.
* Assists with activities of daily living/ADL’s, environmental orientation, dining services, life enrichment programs, laundry and housekeeping, meal services, and other care services assigned, while encouraging self-care and independence.
* Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors.
* Offers comfort and support, emotionally and physically, to Residents.
* Assists with vital signs and weight monitoring monthly or more frequently as required for all Residents and completes all required documentation.
* Puts Resident Service First: Ensures that Residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights
* Assists with individual Resident and group social recreational activities.

Job Qualifications:*

* Must be an active on the OK Nurse Aide Registry as a certified medication aide
* Minimum one year experience in working with older adults as a personal care assistant preferred.
* Twelve (12) plus years of education preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
* At least 18 years old, or older if required per the state regulations.
* Experience with dementia residents preferred.
* Meet continuing education requirements and certifications on job classification and position, including state requirements.
* Ability/willingness to perform all position responsibilities adequately.
