Nashville, TN

Night Shift Available

12 hour shifts; 36 hours/week

Must have 2+ years of experience as a medical-surgical RN

Must have valid TN RN license or compact license

Must have current BLS certification

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, administer medications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.

Duties:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' health status
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient progress, symptoms, and vital signs
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations and procedures as needed
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times

Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation processes
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically Epic
- Familiarity with dementia care, acute pain management, mammography, assisted living, home care, and durable medical equipment (DME)
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
