Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical equipment and instruments. Your expertise in sterile processing techniques and knowledge of medical terminology will contribute to the safe and effective delivery of patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment using appropriate techniques and solutions
- Inspect instruments for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor
- Assemble instrument trays and surgical sets according to established protocols
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and washer-disinfectors
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including load contents, cycle parameters, and biological indicator results
- Monitor inventory levels of sterile supplies and notify the supervisor when reordering is necessary
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of pathogens
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for procedures

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or related role preferred
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and sterile processing principles
- Understanding of infection control practices in a healthcare setting
- Ability to operate sterilization equipment effectively and safely
