Dock Lead

Job description

We are looking for a Dock Lead for a distribution center located in Parsippany NJ. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years' experience working in the shipping department.

Responsibilities of the Dock Lead:

* works closely with Department Manager and Dept Supervisor to coordinate the out bound staging and loading process,
* UPS and FED EX scanning and loading process
* ¨ Assist shipping supervisor with morning attendance to oversee 10-15 shippers, ensure employees are in work area on time and remain in work area until bell rings, assign work and train new employees to ensure they work safely and productively.
* ¨ Assist the shipping supervisor in collecting documents for each individual shipment and setting up the truck and employees.
* ¨ When there are no shipments, work closely with leaders to assist other floors.
* ¨Learn to operate the conveyor control system for the inbound and outbound freight from the 2nd and 3rd floor.
* ¨Maintain clean work area at all times, remove objects from the dock such as pallets, pump jack, trash, etc. to avoid accidents, always put employee safety first.
* Maintains positive employee relations.

Benefits of the Dock Lead:

* Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
* Pay Rate $17.00 per hour
* Medical / Dental/ Vision

Qualifications for the Dock Lead:

* 2 years minimum of Shipping experience
* Previous Warehouse experience.
* Must be Bilingual English/Spanish.
* As400 system knowledge.
* Experience using scanners, pallet jacks, pump jacks.
* RF Scanner knowledge required
