Job Title: CT Technologist

Job Location: Waterbury, CT 06706

Job Type: Contract

Job Duties:
* Prepare patients for CT examinations by explaining procedures, obtaining medical histories, and addressing any concerns or questions.
* Position patients correctly on the CT scanner table, ensuring proper alignment and immobilization to obtain accurate images.
* Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
* Adjust scanning parameters, such as slice thickness, exposure settings, and contrast injection rates, to optimize image quality and diagnostic information.
* Follow radiation safety guidelines and protocols to minimize patient exposure to ionizing radiation during CT scans.
* Administer contrast agents intravenously, orally, or rectally as needed for enhanced visualization of anatomical structures, ensuring patient safety and monitoring for adverse reactions.
* Review acquired CT images to ensure quality and completeness, identifying any artifacts or technical errors that may affect interpretation.
* Assist radiologists or physicians in image interpretation, providing additional images or reconstructions as requested for diagnostic clarity.
* Perform routine maintenance checks and quality control tests on CT equipment, including calibration, alignment, and troubleshooting of technical issues.
* Document equipment maintenance activities and report any malfunctions or deficiencies to appropriate personnel for repair or replacement.
* Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients undergoing CT examinations, addressing their needs and concerns throughout the imaging process.
* Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, including radiologists, nurses, and referring physicians, to coordinate patient care and ensure accurate imaging results.

* Must have ARRT
* Must have BLS (AHA)
