UR Specialist/ LPN

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Utilization Review Specialist.

Job duties include but not limited to:

· Performs hospital- wide utilization management activities.

· Obtaining authorization and approval for all patients requiring pre-certification for both inpatient and partial hospitalization, and contacts managed care organizations to provide clinical information.

· Reviews individual charts on each unit as to their appropriateness for admission and proper utilization of services.

· Communicates with the Business Office, Nursing Department, and Clinical Services Director of any unexpected changes to a case.

· Communicates with physicians, physician advisors, and other members of the medical or clinical staff, as necessary, to accomplish timely review of patients as needed to ensure appropriate admissions and length of stay

The ideal candidate would have the following qualities/skills:

· Self-starter/ Self- motivated.

· Ability to meet deadlines

· Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

· Has knowledge of the Behavioral Health field

*Position Requirements:*

· Minimum requirement: Minimum Associate degree in social sciences with proven medical office support experience in Behavioral Health or similar field.

· LPN License

Two years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting

· Must be able to pass a Level II AHCA background screening.

· Must be able to pass a drug screen.
