Adelphi is seeking a physician to provide psychiatry services at a youth residential treatment center located in Waco, Texas. The psychiatrist should have experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental delays who have been affected by traumatic events.

• Active Texas license
• 5 years of experience working with special needs children

*Responsibilities:*
• Conduct and document psychiatric evaluations for all persons presenting for admissions.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessment and diagnosis.
• Coordinate with patient, family and Local Mental Health Authority (LMHA) and document actions taken when admission is denied.
• Complete the privileging and required training processes with the assistance of facility’s managers or administration.
• Participate in Medical Services Department on-call rotation schedule for psychiatrists.
• Respond to all service calls within four (4) hours of agency request, unless response deadline is extended by the agency contract manager.
• Respond on-site to a request for emergency services within 35 minutes of notification unless otherwise requested by agency.
• Provide services in a manner consistent with acceptable industry standards, custom and practice.
