Geotechnical Lab Technician

*RESPONSIBILITIES*
* We are seeking a dynamic individual to fulfill the role of Laboratory Manager in a geotechnical laboratory setting.
* The Laboratory Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our geotechnical laboratory, ensuring that we deliver the highest level of service to our clients.
* Supervise and manage all aspects of the geotechnical laboratory operations, ensuring efficient and effective processing of laboratory specimens and timely delivery of test results
* Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of laboratory technicians, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
* Provide on-the-job training to laboratory technicians and engineers within the company
* Manage inventory and resources, ensuring the lab is well-equipped to meet the needs of our clients and staff
* Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, constantly striving to enhance our services
* Responsible for troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and software systems
*QUALIFICIATIONS*
* *ACI, ASTM, AASHTO, NICET, laboratory testing experience and current certifications - REQUIRED*
* *2+ years of Geotechnical testing experience testing soils, concrete, asphalt and aggregates in a lab setting - REQUIRED*
* Excellent mathematical, computer, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
* Positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic.
* Must have a current valid driver's license and the ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly as part of the daily duties.
* Knowledge regarding the standard laboratory test methods including: Proctors, Sieves, Durability's, Cleanness, Sand Equivalent, Atterberg Limits, UC, UU, Console, Expansion index, Asphalt Extraction, Theoretical Maximum Specific Gravity, Sampling, and splitting of samples and more.
* Must be able to pass background, drug and MVR screenings
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
