Overnight Nurse

*Norton Staffing and Associates is a local staffing agency in Amherst that partners with schools, programs and facilities throughout the US to help fill their staffing holes. We are seeking a LPN or RN for a position in a long-term care setting in Hays, KS. *

This position is full-time, part-time, or per diem: 10pm to 6am or 6pm to 6am.

Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses assist medical staff in caring for patients. They have the following responsibilities:
* Monitor patient’s vitals and record them in their file
* Maintain the cleanliness and comfort of each patient, including bathing, feeding and dressing
* Assist nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks, such as administering medication
* Update patient records in a confidential manner
* Evaluate the patient’s wellbeing, reporting any needs to medical staff
* Explain treatments and procedures to patients and families
* Change dressings and bandages, ensuring patients are healing properly
* Move patients from wheelchairs, beds and gurneys

Requirements:
* *MUST possess a current LPN or RN license in Kansas*
* 2 years of LPN or RN experience
* Reliable transportation
* Ability to pass a criminal background check

Pay: From $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
