Entech Medical Staffing has an Immediate need for a Medical Assistant for a busy Pediatrics practice located in St. Clair Shores. The position requires knowledge of the childhood immunization schedule as well as experience with administering vaccines. Looking for someone who works well with children and projects a positive and caring attitude towards all patients and staff. Able to float as needed to the Clinton Township office as needed.

*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Room and Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
* Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
* Obtain lab specimens and prepare them for testing, draw blood and administer immunizations and injections, give breathing treatments and administer hearing and vision screening.
* Record all data in the electronic medical record (EMR system) and send prescriptions.
* Assist the front desk staff with answering the telephone, scheduling appointments and obtaining co-pays.
* Other requirements include but are not limited to experience with an electronic medical record, ability to perform basic lab tasks, and have excellent communication skills and an attention to detail.
* Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
* Perform basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.
* Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
* May document the provider's encounter with patients and list all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider.

*QUALIFICATIONS:*

High School Diploma or gen. equiv.

Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate and/or transcripts unless Certified or Registered

Min. 1-2 years of medical assistant experience

Minimum 1 year of peds experience

Previous EMR computer experience

Some pediatrics experience is a plus.

Must have excellent communication skills.

Pay rate range: $20-$22

* Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate and/or transcripts (Required)
* BLS with the American Heart Association or able to renew (Required)

Ability to Relocate:
* Saint Clair Shores, MI: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Willingness to travel:
* 25% (Preferred)
