MIG Welder/Fabricator

*We are seeking a MIG Welder/Fabricator to join our SHOP team in Farmville, NC. *

In this role, you will be responsible for welding or fitting various metal pieces together to create a final product using the customer’s specifications or drawings. The schedule for this position is M-Th 6am-4:45pm and F 6am-3:45pm plus overtime as needed with occasional Saturday work.

*Your responsibilities as a Welder/Fabricator:*
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding codes to determine project specifications.
* Operate welding equipment to cut, weld, and fabricate metal components/structures.
* Fit up miscellaneous transitions at interfaces between equipment.
* Use various tools, machinery, and equipment such as drills, grinder, saw, forklifts, boom lifts, etc.
* Complete customer’s needs on project, if it does not involve financial changes to the contract Inspect welds for accuracy and quality assurance.
* Align, fit, measure, lay out and inspect parts, mark cutting lines, gather materials and operate machinery.
* Welding in all positions
* Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
* Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

*MIG Welder/Fabricator qualifications:*
* High School Diploma or GED
* Welding certificate or Diploma
* CNC Machine and/or Plasma Table experience
* 2+ years of welding experience using hand and power tools to install or repair equipment.
* Fabrication and shop experience preferred.
* All candidates must have a valid driver’s license, pass drug screen, and background checks.
* Demonstrate ability to tactfully manage difficult situations.
* Perform duties in an independent manner with minimal direction and supervision.
* Must live within commuting distance of Farmville, NC
