The Prevention and Diversion Department is delighted to announce a current opening within the Children and Parents Together Always (CAPTA) program. The goal of CAPTA is to improve the permanency and well-being of our most vulnerable population, the substance-exposed newborn. This program focuses on supporting families to reduce the number of substance-exposed newborns (SEN), reduce the removals of SEN’s, and improve parent/child well-being.

Job responsibilities will include supervising the counselors and overseeing day to day operations of the counselor and case activity such as, reviewing, and approving assessments and service plans. The Supervisor will also ensure program procedures are adhered to, and program measures and outcomes are achieved.

Provides direct clinical supervision and monitoring of all operations of the assigned to the Children and Parents Together Always (CAPTA) Program.

Requirements:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or marriage and family counseling. Clinical licensure preferred. Minimum two (2) years prior supervisory/management experience or a minimum of five (5) years prior experience working directly with children and/or families.

-OR-

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, psychology, social work or a related human services field and five (5) years of professional experience in the field of child welfare or social services.
