We are looking for a well rounded *Packaging/Bundle Operator* to join our rapidly growing team. Our organization prides itself on manufacturing top-quality custom steel parts. With years of industry experience, our team of engineers, technicians, and craftsmen possesses extensive knowledge and expertise in manufacturing custom steel parts to the highest standards of precision and durability.

As the Tooling Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in assembling and setting up roll trains and production tooling for our pipe and tube manufacturing processes.

Wages are based on experience and range from *$25-$35/hour *based on experience level and ability to hit the ground running*. *

This position will start on first shift (6:00A-3:30P), M-F.

*Responsibilities:*
* Sets up automated packaging to match mill schedule (bundle configuration and count)
* Manages partial bundles at end-of-order
* Tags bundles as they accumulate on the discharge conveyor (before removal)
* Turns in tags to Mill Operator at the end of the shift
* Keeps auto-bander fed with banding
* Alerts Mill Operator of any difficulties with machinery
* Work safely following Haz Com & workplace safety practices as outlined by Custom Steel Supply policy & OSHA.
* Work from rolling schedules to ensure proper processing of material per specifications.
* Perform quality checks on all metrics to ensure product compliance with specifications.
* Assist in mill changeovers as needed.
* Complete all required operating reports and quality reports.
* Support other operators during breakdowns, bottlenecks, and scheduled downtime.
* Report any irregularities or malfunctions to managers or maintenance.
* Works closely with both Mill Crane Operator, Cut-Off Operator, End Welder, and the Multi-craft Technician to monitor the entirety of the production process.
* Cross-Train to a full working understanding and knowledge of all positions as to be able to contribute as needed.
* Operate overhead and Dual Trolley cranes to support tube mill operations as needed.

*Qualifications:*
* 2+ years of *Packaging/Bundle Operator* experience in a manufacturing setting
* Must have experience in tube mill manufacturing\*
* High School diploma/GED
* Ability to follow written/verbal instructions, basic computer skills, and proficiency in reading measuring devices/equipment and basic math
* Strong commitment to continuous improvement in uptime, product quality, and overall mill performance.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Visual acuity for reading and recording numerical data.
* Attention to detail, dependability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
* Physical capability to perform tasks including standing, walking, using hands, handling objects, reaching, lifting, climbing, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
* Proficiency in computer usage and Microsoft Office tools.
* High School diploma with some post-HS education or equivalent job experience required.
* Effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
