Cost Analyst

*Our client is seeking a Cost Analyst to work within their facilities located in Pascagoula, MS for a 12-month contract.*

*Responsibilities:*

· Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.

· Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in cost forecasting.

· Utilize CMMS (Maximo) to issue Service & Purchase Orders to vendors.

· Manage project budgets within financial systems.

· Manage CSI process to accurately track and forecast project costs.

· Provides regular cost updates to Management and Stakeholders.

· Maintains organization of information for yearend accruals.

*Required Qualifications:*

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related financial discipline or 10+ years of related work experience required.

· An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.

· Financial and/or accounting experience required.

· Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.

· Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

· Basic ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.

· Basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles, and reporting of financial data.

· Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software(Smart by GEP, Ariba, SAP).
