Hydrogeologist

Growing civil & environmental engineering company has an immediate opening for a Hydrogeologist. Direct hire position with competitive benefits

Duties:

Perform data analysis and interpretation – including geospatial and statistical analysis, groundwater flow and contaminant fate, and transport modeling
Perform soil boring logging – including soil classification and sample collection
Provide oversight, direction, and documentation during installation of groundwater monitoring wells and water supply wells
Install, utilize, and maintain instrumentation (includes pressure transducers, pumps, water level meters, water quality meters, etc.)
Conduct sampling of various environmental media (soil, groundwater, surface water, soil gas, solid waste, etc.)
Conduct GPS surveying and staking
Prepare written technical reports

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or similar discipline
2+ years of experience in hydrogeology/environmental services
Familiarity with modeling and analysis programs such as AQTESOLV and MODFLOW preferred
Experience with groundwater monitoring system design and data analysis a plus
GIS software and mapping applications preferred
Clean driving record and ability to drive a company vehicle as necessary
Ability to travel throughout Minnesota and other midwestern states on occasion
40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus
