*Job Description*

The Contract Analyst is an individual contributor managing deliverables, collaborating with stakeholders, and overseeing projects from drafting to execution while adhering to company policies.

*Key Responsibilities*
* *Communication*: Employ clear and persuasive communication, effective listening, time management, adaptability, and patience.
* *Budget and Negotiation*: Analyze Fair Market Value (FMV) for budget development, negotiation, and documentation.
* *Collaboration*: Work with clinical teams, legal, reimbursement, and other groups on clinical agreements and consents.
* *Contract Management*: Prepare and analyze outsourcing proposals, draft contracts, negotiate, administer, and manage supplier contact activities.
* *Tracking and Reporting*: Monitor contract progress, update parties, analyze contract data, and maintain historical information.
* *Industry Practices*: Apply knowledge of clinical trial practices, agreements, budgeting, and vendor/consulting agreements.
* *Negotiations*: Handle moderately complex contract negotiations, escalating as needed.
* *Critical Thinking*: Review contract redlines, recommend actions, and consult with legal, management, and clinical teams.
* *Project Leadership*: Lead smaller projects or studies with input from managers and senior professionals.
* *Communication*: Regularly interact with internal customers and senior management, as well as external parties.
* *Contract Administration*: Administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts.

*Education*
* *Bachelor’s Degree*: Minimum 4 years of experience in contracts/negotiation.
* *Advanced Degree (e.g., JD, Masters)*: Minimum 2 years of experience in contracts/negotiation.
* *Juris Doctorate (JD)*: A plus.

*Experience and Skills*
* Strong communication skills.
* Critical thinking in a matrix environment.
* Familiarity with legal terms/conditions and finance basics.
* Experience in clinical research or medical/scientific areas preferred.
* Good Clinical Practices (GCP) background advantageous.
* Clinical/vendor agreement and management experience.
* Cross-functional experience in a matrix environment.
* Customer-facing role experience.
* Project management experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Bi-lingual skills (Spanish, French, Italian, etc.) are a plus.

*Required Knowledge and Experience*
* Practical knowledge and competence typically obtained through advanced education and experience.
* *University Degree*: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
* *Advanced Degree*: No minimum years of experience.
