Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Virtual Teacher to provide instruction and support to visually impaired students for a school district in New York. As a Virtual Teacher for the Visually Impaired, you will work remotely, utilizing our cutting-edge platform to deliver personalized education tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for visually impaired students.
Deliver engaging and accessible lessons using adaptive technologies and resources.
Utilize assistive technologies and accommodations to support students in accessing curriculum materials.
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other members of the student's educational team to ensure consistent support and progress monitoring.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and communication.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree inSpecial Education(Master's degree preferred).
New York State Licensure as a TVI
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting.
Virtual experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Reliable high-speed internet connection and access to necessary technology for remote teaching.
Must pass a VocoVision technical screening (showing knowledge of the platform Zoom)
