FSW’s Head Start/Early Head Start is a federal government program that was created in 1965 to give preschool children from low-income families a “head start” on their readiness for elementary school.

*JOB SUMMARY:*

Family Services of Westchester is looking for a full-time Home Visitor for our White Plains, NY Head Start program. We are hiring for multiple locations throughout Westchester County.

*POSITION TITLE:* Home Visitor

*STATUS: *Full-time/Permanent

*SUPERVISED BY: *Maria Pilco

*PURPOSE: *Home-based services offer home visits and group socialization activities for parents and their children.

*DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:*

* Establish a caring professional relationship with parents
* Asist parents in obtaining parenting skills.
* Ensure health and safety guidelines for children.
* Plan and develop with parents an individualized program for the family
* Work with parents to strengthen the families' knowledge of child development
* Support parents with problem-solving

*QUALIFICATIONS:*

*Education*

* Must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) *(Required)*

*Requirements*

* Bilingual
