Kitchen Manager

We are looking for a confident and personable kitchen leader We have a very popular, independent restaurant on Vashon Island that features all-scratch cooking.

Kitchen Manager Qualifications:

3+ years experience as a kitchen manager in an all-scratch American kitchen
Calm and personable leadership style, no ego necessary
Ability to create unique and appealing specials
Ability to adhere and lead staff to adhere to recipe specifications, portions, and preparations
Active manager that controls labor and food cost expenses
Offsite Catering experience a huge plus
BBQ experience a huge plus

Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:

Work directly with the GM and partner Kitchen Manager to schedule staff, plan specials, and actively manage the kitchen
Place orders for food and kitchen equipment as necessary and within budget
Work with local purveyors to source local products.
Work the line during busy shifts and execute at a high level with precision and grace
Communicate with the BOH and FOH teams to ensure smooth service
Prepare food for catering events as required and necessary
Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization for the kitchen
