CMI is expanding, and we're looking for an Environmental Technician to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with groundwater, soil, and vapor sampling
  • Complete stormwater and industrial discharge water sampling
  • Assist with operation and maintenance (O&M) of remediation systems
  • Perform HAZMAT inspections (e.g., asbestos and lead)
  • Interact with clients and subcontractors
  • Schedule routine service for field vehicles and equipment

Requirements and Experience:

  • At least 1 year of work experience in the environmental field
  • Experience with field sampling/monitoring equipment (i.e. PID, FID, submersible pumps) preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Moderate to strong MS office suite experience.
  • Strong problem solver.
  • Hybrid work schedule
  • Ability to travel both locally and regionally

Education and Credentials 

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Earth Science, Geology or a related science discipline preferred.
  • Certifications in a related area (HAZWOPER-40, TWIC, PA Dept. of Labor and Industry Licensed Asbestos Inspector) preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to physically perform the duties and work in the environmental conditions, which may require light physical efforts, ability to wear respiratory protection and exposure to hazardous materials or agents

Other Requirements:

  • Background check and potential drug screening required for the position
  • Overtime and flexible working hours may be necessary based on project demands
  • Residence within a reasonable commuting distance
