TRC’s client is a leader in mechanical contracting, engineering, design, and construction looking for a Mechanical Estimator on a full-time, direct hire basis in the Westford, MA area. 
  
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Prepare, complete, and implement estimates / estimate plans for mechanical projects, including all subcontracts and equipment pricing. 
  • Review all problems of take-off conditions and document interpretation, providing analysis to leadership for direction; perform the take-off with speed, accuracy, and efficient following procedures and guidelines. 
  • Review scope and inconsistencies, analyzing changes in scope and providing estimates maximizing potential profit. 
  • Update trade take-off accordingly throughout the bidding process and provide complete prints to chief / lead estimator for incorporation into the bid. 
  • Prepare, coordinate, and convey project instructions, information, questions, clarifications, etc. between management and vendor / subcontract groups; maintain relationships and contact with subcontractors, vendors, and other parties. 
  
REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field 
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical estimating, including HVAC and plumbing 
  • Willingness and ability to travel to projects sites regionally  
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in both independent and collaborative team-based environments
