Sr Accounts Receivable Mgr

TRC Talent seeks a full time Sr Manager/Accounts Receivable for a global logistics firm that has its US headquarters in Dunwoody. This is a hybrid role. Position requires bachelor’s degree, several years of related experience and ability lead leaders.
Manager monitors accounts receivables for the organization and ensures compliance with firm’s financial procedures, while minimizing exposure and risk of assets. As a manager, the incumbent in this position assists the Director with strategic direction and contributes to the business wide strategy. This individual is responsible for providing employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving complaints or disputes. Position assists both internal and external customers in resolving complex issues requiring specialized knowledge of a functional area and / or broad knowledge across functions.   Responsibilities
Manages overall collection effort of accounts receivables
· Handles key customers accounts to collect funds and reduce exposure to bad debt
· Guides, coaches, and supports the Accounts Receivable department
· Has the ability to be a leader of people leaders
· Manages bad debt, including submitting and monitoring claims with 3rd party collectors
· Processes and monitors credit limits and terms
· Liaise with internal departments on credit limits, applications for approval, and discrepancies
· Develops new business processes and alternative solutions for smoother workflows
· Prepares weekly account receivable performance reports for Management · Ensures all refunds are processed timely and accurately · Makes certain that Company credit policy is followed as cargo is released and follows up to get payments under credit terms granted · Ensures consistent application of firm’s policies to all personnel actions · Allocates new accounts to the appropriate coordinators · Makes certain that all departmental and functional training requirements are fulfilled · Provides training for staff on new systems, regulations, and requirements · Keeps staff up to date on new requirements, processes, and procedures · Assists staff with trouble shooting issues and handles elevated problems · Monitors and measures workload to ensure best process is in place   Qualifications
· University Degree and minimum of 5 years of experience of Accounts Receivable.
· Experience in leading large team and experience in coaching and developing team
members and people leaders.
· Effectively follow firm’s accounting practices in daily accounting and financial
analysis work.
· Recognizes and attends to multiple facets in issues and problems. Uses a logical and
systematic approach to analyze unfamiliar issues and problems. Assembles relevant
information from multiple sources.
· Makes sound decisions in ambiguous situations not covered by explicit rules by applying
general accounting principles and guidelines. Adjusts decisions to meet with changing
circumstances or new information.
· Provides well thought out rationale for decision
· Understand and apply the business processes of the company and guard against
actions that will negatively affect business in general.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with both internal and external
customers.
· Ability to create a customer centric team culture by understanding the customer's needs
and expectations
· Proficient using MS Office, Word, Excel spreadsheets and other software to meet work
demands.
