We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time Medical Records at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants of Albany New York

The Medical Records Responsibilities are:
  • Prepping electronic charts for procedures and office appointments
  • Scanning results, correspondences, and procedures into electronic charts
  • Preparing and sending medical records upon request
  • Handling all electronic faxes
  • Responding to external and internal customer phone calls
  • Safeguarding patient records and ensuring that everyone complies with the HIPAA standards
  • Transferring data into the facility's main system database
  • Processing the records for admitting and discharging patients

The Medical Records must have the following qualifications and experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced organization skills Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Basic computer skills to scan, organize and access electronic health records
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
