Machine Operator I FULL-TIME

$20/hr

A Brief Overview
The Machine Operator fabricates parts by positioning or aligning workpieces against stops and guides or with dies; operating equipment; observing operations; detecting malfunctions; inspecting parts; adjusting controls; and replacing dies. This role is an important role in the construction of our portal saw mills and industrial equipment.

What you will do
- Set up and operate any assigned machine in manufacturing area.
- Read blueprint and fabricate part per print specifications.
- Inspect own production frequently using proper gauges or measuring instrument.
- Clean work area daily.
- Train other employees.
- Meet production goals.
- Count parts accurately.
- Lift 50 lbs. to waist.
- Ability to retain learned knowledge.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
- Stand 8 to 10 hours each day.
- Assemble manufactured parts.
- Pack assembled parts.

Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma High School Education Req

Experience Qualifications
1-3 years Manufacturing experience - Required
1-3 years Fabrication experience - Preferred

Skills and Abilities
- General math knowledge. (Medium proficiency)
- Mechanical aptitude (Medium proficiency)

Schedule

Shift start: 2:00PM
Shift length: 8 - 10 hours
1st shift:5am – 1pm (M – F);2nd shift: 2pm – 10pm (M-F);3rd shift:10pm – 6am (S – Th)

-Ability to follow written instructions, diagrams, and blueprints -Thorough understanding of mechanics and other properties of machines -Ability to fabricate parts per print specifications -Ability to follow proper safety protocols - Forklift experience (preferred)
