Charlestown is seeking an experienced Program Assistant looking to positively impact our assisted living and skilled nursing resident's daily lives. Do you enjoy connecting with others through activities, games, and group interactions? This may be just the position for you.

This position requires a minimum of 2 years experience as an Activities Assistant.

Charlestown is a beautiful 110-acre continuing care retirement community located just minutes from Baltimore in the charming neighborhood of Catonsville, Maryland. We’re part of a growing network of communities developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living, a national provider of senior living and health care with campuses in 11 states—and growing.  

The Senior Program Assistant will stimulate the physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, and emotional well-being of the residents residing in Continuing Care.  Discusses with the Programming team the resident’s needs/desires related to purposeful engagement and providing therapeutic and recreational activities to meet the daily needs and interests of the residents.

Compensation: Rate ranges from $16.00 per hour up to $20.00 per hour, based upon years of experience.

The Continuing Care team is committed to serving residents in all aspects of their daily lives and assisting with the day-to-day functions of the neighborhood.  Members of the Continuing Care team will develop relationships with the residents and their families using a consistent caregiver approach; supporting the residents’ physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs and focusing on placing the residents first.
