Your responsibilities include:Preparing patients for provider visits using the Advanced Standard Rooming Process: Documenting chief complaintsTaking vitals, reviewing history and allergiesCompleting medication reconciliationAddressing care gaps (e.g., screenings, diabetic eye exams)Rechecking elevated blood pressuresDocumenting preventive visit details in EpicPerforming in-office testing: Blood draws, mental status exams, EKGs, oxygen studies, point-of-care testingAdministering vaccines and injections within scopeScheduling follow-up appointments per office policyCollaborating with providers and clinical teams to support care plansQualificationsPrimary Care Assistant – MAEducation: High School Diploma or GEDCertification: BLS required within 90 days of hirePreferred Experience: 6+ months in clinical healthcare, ideally in primary carePrimary Care – Certified MAEducation: High School Diploma or GEDCertification: Active MA certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA)BLS: Required within 90 days of hireLPN OptionEducation: Diploma in Practical NursingLicensure: Active LPN licensePreferred Experience: 6+ months in clinical healthcare, preferably primary careWhy Mercy?From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.Join a caring, collaborative team where your voice matters.
