Financial Analyst

Dream Finders Homes is a leading national homebuilder who utilizes land banks to finance the development and purchase of land. The process to allocate costs correctly throughout this finance arrangement is called the Lot Basis Process. Currently there are $1 billion in assets to manage within the lot basis process.

The Lot Basis Process is a relatively new but stable process within the organization led by the Land Finance Manager. The organization is experiencing significant growth and intends to continue with this trajectory. There is a need to support the creation and verification of all templates to ensure that the process remains stable, is adhered to, and accurately reflects land costs.

This is an entry-level role where an analyst will be developed and gain extremely valuable experience. This role could be the start to a successful career with Dream Finders Homes. Land and Homebuilding Finance are highly sought after experiences. This role is a strategic and visible position that will offer the right candidate meaningful exposure.

The ideal candidate is someone who has excellent communication skills, is a self-starter, is organized, has a finance or accounting degree. The right candidate could be a recent graduate or someone with a few years in a financial analyst role. If the candidate is a recent graduate would like to see some successful work experience or proven track record.

Primary Duties Include:
  • Create Lot Basis Templates for Divisions
  • Schedule Divisional Review Meetings with Land and Finance for Tracker Reviews
  • Analyze Actual and Forecasted Land Costs
  • Ensure Lot Basis Templates align with Lot Option Agreements
  • Review Contracts and Assist in Setting up New Trackers for New Landbank Communities
  • Attend Divisional Review Meetings to assist in ensuring updates are accurately reflecting all lot costs
  • Ensure Divisional Reporting is Complete and Accurate for Leadership Review
  • Attend Leadership Meetings to Review Proposed Lot Basis Changes
  • Role will work with Finance, Land and Division Leadership
  • Prepare Ad Hoc Analysis and Reports as Needed

Ideal Candidate will have a college degree in Finance or Accounting. Excel knowledge is required.
