Job DescriptionThe Events & Education Specialist is a food enthusiast who passionately engages guests in Eatalys mission through events and educational offerings. Reports to the Events & Education Manager.Plans, schedules and executes public and private events including specialized cooking/wine/food knowledge classes, buyouts, press events, tastings and private receptionsWrites and monitors class descriptions; compiles instructor biographies, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and sales contracts; creates class registration pages onlineFosters accountability in departments and interdepartmental collaboration when planning eventsBuilds and manages client lists and relationshipsPerforms other duties as required or assignedQualifications:QualificationsBachelors Degree preferredExperience in restaurant operations, sales management, marketing or event planningExcellent organizational, project management and time management skillsOutstanding professional communication skills and editorial skillsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of Italian wine and food gastronomyProficiency in Italian language preferred_ _ Hourly wage: $20-22 an hour, Part time: 24-32 hours a week ___ _ Scheduled based on classes provided by Eataly Silicon Valley's La Scuola __Job RequirementsAvailability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidaysAdditional InformationBenefits and PerksMedical, Dental, Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Parental Leave401K with match or RRSPBonus programFree family meal dailyDiscounts at EatalyClasses on products and Italian cuisineReferral bonus programand moreEataly is an equal employment opportunity employer.
