NURSE PRACTITIONER, GASTROENTEROLOGY (FT; 5 days/wk) - Temple Faculty Practice

The Department of Gastroenterology is comprised of physicians and scientists from a variety of disciplines focused on the treatment of diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, gall bladder, pancreas and liver. Our surgeons specialize in using minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic techniques whenever possible. In many cases, this may result in quicker recovery times, shorter hospital stays and a lower risk of complications. This unique multi-disciplinary center provides synergy for cutting edge therapies and novel basic and clinical research and educational activities that span the continuum of medical and surgical care of patients with common to rare lung disorders. With over 13,000 patient visits each year, the Temple Digestive Disease Center is one of the most experienced in the Philadelphia region in treating gastrointestinal disorders. Temple gastrointestinal specialists are leaders in treating complicated digestive diseases, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Barrett's esophagus, pancreatic-biliary and post-surgical problems. Our center at Temple University Hospital features advanced technology for battling the most complex gastrointestinal diseases. We provide patients with access to virtually every available interventional treatment option. We treat more than 50,000 patients, of which approximately one-half are cared for on an outpatient basis. Temple's gastroenterology services extend beyond Temple University Hospital to also cover Temple Health Center City and the Temple Health Fort Washington outpatient center. Temple researchers are renowned for work in esophageal, gastric and colonic motility, endoscopic ultrasound, new endoscopic techniques and research in hepatology. In many cases, our specialists offer you access to leading clinical trials not available at most other centers. Education Bachelors Degree : in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
