I.  POSITION SUMMARY


Logistics Center Associates are expected to support and contribute to the KSEA continuous improvement (LEAN) culture.  Logistic Center Associate III’s are subject matter experts in all department tasks.  Ability to execute advanced SAP transactions and complex operational processes.  This individual will also have responsibility to work with inter-departmental tasks. 

 

II. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
 

  • HS Diploma or GED required

  • Advanced SAP experience required

  • Ability to work independently

  • Advanced computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Suite)

  • Actively model a team oriented culture

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to interact with various levels within the organization

  • Dependable

  • Punctual

 

III. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Position requires constant and varying degrees of movement including standing, sitting, bending, walking, reaching, grabbing, and packing, lifting, pulling, and pushing

  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 25lbs

  • Must be able to occasionally lift between 30-75lbs as needed with assistance

  • Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 320lbs on casters with assistance

  • Must be able to occasionally use a warehouse ladder for reaching shelves

  • Must be able to operate a manual pallet jack

  • Ability to use standard office equipment (computers, copiers, etc.)

 

 

  1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties consistent with the general nature and focus of the position and/or the goals and objectives of the department may be assigned.)

 

  • Actively lead all LEAN/Continuous Improvement initiatives with a high level of engagement. These activities include:

    • 5S

    • Idea Board

    • Audits

    • Visual Control Systems

  • Facilitate compliance and implementation of all process improvements.

  • As the subject matter expert within the department, assist with training new associates.

  • Assist in creating and processing work instructions.Assume higher levels of responsibility as delegated by the Product Evaluation Supervisor.
