We are currently seeking a Company Driver.
*Driver – CDL Class A
*POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for executing delivery and unloading tasks for our clientele. All operations must adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols. Performance is evaluated based on punctual deliveries while fostering relationships through outstanding service.

Accountable for the daily upkeep of the vehicle (reporting mechanical issues; checking tires, fluid levels, license expirations, lights, turn signals, cleanliness, etc.).

Must demonstrate the ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
*PRIMARY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
*FLSA Status: *Full-time; non-exempt

*Primary Purpose: *To carry out delivery and unloading responsibilities for our customers. All activities must comply with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Performance is based on timely deliveries while cultivating relationships through exceptional service.

Responsible for the daily maintenance of the vehicle (reporting mechanical issues; inspecting tires, fluid levels, license expirations, lights, turn signals, cleanliness, etc.).

Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
*Essential Functions:
  • Loads and unloads vehicle; verifies cargo against invoices; plans routes to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient deliveries.
  • Maintains a maintenance log for the assigned vehicle and ensures it is serviced regularly.
  • Keeps the vehicle clean; inspects equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
  • Maintains communication with the supervisor to receive expedited delivery instructions.
  • Collects returned or rejected merchandise, with documentation, and delivers it to the Returns department by the end of each day.
  • Treats all internal/external contacts as customers and strives to meet their expectations by providing responsive, adaptive, and exceptional service.
  • Ensures all deliveries/pickups are signed and processed correctly.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
*Other Functions:
  • May be required to assist within the warehouse or perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
  • Maintains the yard and surrounding areas of the warehouse as needed.
*Working Conditions: *Conditions are generally acceptable but may involve lifting, standing, and carrying, with exposure to typical warehouse hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting may occur.
*Equipment: *Responsible for the assigned delivery vehicle and must be certified in its operation. Operates forklift, pallet jacks, and hand trucks while using standard safety equipment. Reports deficiencies to the supervisor promptly.
*Work Hours: *Hours vary based on scheduled delivery loads, typically 40 hours Monday-Friday. Some weekend and overtime work may be required.

Mental Demands:
*Visual ability to read documents and equipment displays. Able to engage in verbal communication and hear normal conversations (approximately 60 decibels). Capable of sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, and walking. Able to sustain periods of sitting or standing. Capable of walking on hard surfaces for extended periods. Able to climb slopes, stairs, ramps, and ladders. Able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds frequently. Able to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 80 pounds. Able to sit for prolonged periods up to 8 hours. Able to exhibit full range of motion for various physical activities. Able to work at various heights safely. Able to work in diverse temperatures and with chemical agents safely without allergic reactions. Capable of operating various warehouse equipment safely.
*Skills / Knowledge: *In addition to fulfilling the communication, physical, and mental demands listed above, must know how to operate forklifts, wrappers, and pallet jacks. Must be able to follow instructions and safety procedures, including forklift and wrapper operation safety rules. Must be able to lift 60 lbs unassisted.
*Education: *High School diploma or equivalent.
*Experience: *Minimum of one (1) year of delivery experience. Valid Hawaii Motor Vehicle Operator's License, proper insurance, and a satisfactory driving record. DOT, CDL, Airbrake, Tractor Trailer, and HazMat certifications preferred. Ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts is required.
*Accuracy: *Maintains and demands personal accuracy for the delivery of orders to valued customers. Ensures all deliveries are loaded and secured in the vehicle.
*Other: *Alertness and careful attention are necessary to avoid injury to oneself and others. Excellent attendance is required.
Ability to acquire security access to customer locations as needed.
*Requirements: *Must pass a pre-employment physical examination and drug test.
