Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Labor & Delivery
Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12x3, 36 hrs per week, typically every other weekend
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- CA License
- At least 1 year 4 months strong L&D experience
- Good fetal heart monitoring skills
- RN’s circulate in OR
- Level 3 experience needed
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- Fetal assessment required
- 2+ years experience is preferred
- Prior travel experience preferred
- EPIC is EMR preferred
- Must be competent & comfortable looking after high risk, MgSO4 infusions. IDDM, placenta Previa, maternal cardiac hx, twins, lupus. C-Sections, tubal ligations, D&C, post amnio
- Must be autonomous & able to do vag exams
- Ok with high risk Advanced Practice on the unit: 3 - Nurse Midwives 24 hour in house Anesthesia & Pediatrician
- Will float as needed under same scope of skill may float to AP and MB units
- Ratios : 1:1-4 based on acuity of patient. ratios are CA state mandated, will depend on patient acuity and census
- Pt population : 321 beds in hospital, not teaching hosp, level II trauma
- Total # of Unit Beds/Suites/Deliveries: LDR = 10, OR’s & PACU’s = 2 Antepartum – 10 rooms 240 deliveries per month
