We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a critical member of our pharmacy staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital pharmacy and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

- Assist licensed pharmacists with medication preparation and administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Perform various pharmacy tasks, including inhaled treatments and IV infusions
- Follow aseptic technique to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety
- Develop a thorough understanding of medical terminology and apply it in patient care
- Provide exceptional patient service, including answering questions and addressing concerns
- Work effectively in a fast-paced critical care environment
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to hospital standards

Skills

- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician
- Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
- Proficiency in patient care and medical terminology
- Ability to administer medications and perform IV infusions
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control practices
- Excellent patient service skills
- Ability to work in a high-pressure critical care environment
- Strong understanding of hospital procedures and protocols
- Proficiency in a pharmacy setting

Certifications/Licenses Required: CA Board of Pharmacy Technician license. PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification preferred.

Experience Required (Minimum level of experience): Three (3) years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician. Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job: Bi-lingual (English/Spanish or English/Arabic preferred. Excellent oral and written communications a must.

Familiarity with Medi-Cal Program is preferred. Knowledge of Medical terminology. Knowledge of Pharmacy automation machines including blister packs, robotics and counting machine a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.99 - $32.94 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
