POSITION: Daily Substitute Teacher
LOCATION: Various locations
PAY RATE: $120/day
BENEFITS: None

As a substitute, your schedule can be flexible and meet your own individual work needs. An automated substitute system helps you manage your work schedule by allowing you to pick up assignments any time, day or night. The system uses your subject area, grade level and location preferences to offer you jobs on the days you have selected and allows you to change the days you work.

Position Purpose
Supervise and facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills, documenting teaching and student progress, activities and outcomes. Addressing specific educational needs of individual and groups of students ensuring a safe and optimal learning environment. Provide feedback to students, teachers, and administration regarding student progress and expectations.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
  • Translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction
  • Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual small group instruction as needed.
  • Ensures that student conduct conforms with the school's standards and school district policies, and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
MUST have a current Substitute Certificate from the Professional Teachers Standards Board in the State of Wyoming.
