Watts & Associates Recruitment is conducting a discreet search for a mid‑level Trademark Associate on behalf of a Chambers‑ranked international full‑service law firm with a highly regarded intellectual‑property practice. The role is based in Washington, DC with a remote‑working arrangement across the United States.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- JD or LLM degree with strong academic credentials.
- Bar admission in the candidate’s resident state.
- At least 3 years of hands‑on trademark clearance and prosecution experience (U.S. and international).
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English.
- Ability to manage a high‑volume docket and coordinate with foreign counsel.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Lead complex U.S. and international trademark clearance projects for major brand portfolios.
- Manage domestic and global trademark prosecution, including strategy, filings, and office‑action responses.
- Provide day‑to‑day counseling on brand selection, risk assessment, and portfolio optimisation.
- Coordinate with foreign counsel and internal teams in Spanish and English on multi‑jurisdictional matters.
- Collaborate directly with senior partners while handling a high‑volume docket.
Stipend, Compensation & Mode
Base Salary: $250,000 – $320,000 per year (depending on experience).
Bonus: Performance‑based bonus opportunity.
