Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Supervision:
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure machinery and infrastructure remain operational.
  • Provide training and mentorship to maintenance staff, ensuring skill development and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintenance Planning & Execution:
  • Develop, implement, and oversee preventative maintenance plans.
  • Coordinate and prioritize repairs and maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all equipment, machinery, and systems are functioning optimally and comply with operational and safety standards.
  • Budget & Resource Management:
  • Manage the maintenance budget, including labor, parts, and equipment costs.
  • Oversee the procurement of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts, ensuring timely availability.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of maintenance activities and inventory.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure that maintenance operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments.
  • Investigate and address safety issues, ensuring that appropriate corrective actions are taken.
  • Vendor & Contractor Coordination:
  • Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for specialized maintenance and repairs.
  • Review and approve contractor work, ensuring it meets quality and safety standards.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and reducing costs.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance equipment reliability and overall site efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Proven experience leading a maintenance team or department.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage budgets and optimize resource allocation.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM)
  • OSHA Certification
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification (a plus)
