The Senior Product Designer for Grainger Insights will use well-developed interaction and visual design skills to create software with robust filtering capabilities allowing our users to search, consume, and manipulate data. This is a full-spectrum UX interaction design role - from research and solution design to final UI deliverables and testing. You will be working with agile sprint teams with an emphasis on team collaboration.This is a unique opportunity to employ high-tech software and service design within a top-rated, well-established industrial supplier. You will report to the Senior Manager of UX Design for Grainger Insights.You Will:Work with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Engineers, and QA to design experiences for Grainger customers and internal usersCreate design concepts, customer journeys, and pixel perfect design deliverables.Translate requirements and user needs into tangible interaction designs through annotated wireframes and visual designsLeverage and contribute to Grainger's design system documentationUnderstand technical and business constraints and scale designs for iterative release, ensuring user needs are met in each iterationEvaluate current experiences and provide recommendations for improvementConduct user research, evaluative user testing, session replay analysis and secondary research to improve experiencesCommunicate design decisions, rationale, and direction when presenting workCollaborate with the UX team to align patterns across productsDevelop concepts to help test new, innovative ideasActively seek out feedback from other UI Designers, UX Designers and UX leadership on UX design concepts and deliverables to ensure the best solution is created.Lead review sessions of in progress work with partners (product managers, engineers, business stakeholders), UX team, and UX leadershipYou Have :5+ years experience as a UX/UI designer or product designerFormal education in Human Centered Design, Design Methods, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or related field, or equivalent experienceExpertise in information design, UX design, usability, and accessibilityProficiency in responsive web design best practicesExperience visualizing complex data and creating InfographicsExperience using and contributing to pattern libraries and comprehensive design systemsStrong proficiency in Figma, UX and component librariesWork sample or portfolio that demonstrates expertise in product designPrior experience with eCommerce and data-centric products is a plusWe are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status.
