Job Responsibilities & Descriptions

Supervisor

Schedule:

Works alongside Director to create the weekly staff schedule

Makes changes as needed based upon the needs of the lab

Coordinates staff time off and requests

Coordinates with scheduler for patient and physician arrival times to let staff know for the

following shift

Communicates with all staff members about upcoming availability, PRN availability, etc.

Communicates with the physician about when a specific vendor and/or equipment is

needed for a procedure

Communicates and coordinates with vendor if their support is needed for an upcoming

procedure per physician

Staff:

Ensures that each lab is properly staffed for the day based on our surgical 2 guidelines

and requirements

Communicates with staff with any new changes in policies, updates, etc.

Ensures all staff members understand their expectations while on the job and that these

duties are being met

Ensures a positive work environment is being established

Maintains employee retention

If any problems arise, create a plan and have a discussion with employee

Purchasing:

Utilizes Envi system to purchase equipment and medications as needed

Inventory:

Maintains proper equipment inventory based on usage at each lab

Checks for expiration dates on all equipment including medications

Maintains proper medication inventory based on usage at each lab

Vendors:

Coordinates with vendor for equipment availability and coverage if necessary per

physician

Hiring:

Coordinates an interview with potential hire

Ensures potential hire understands what is expected of them at our facility

Performs interview with walk through of facility

Coordinates with HR for all paperwork, drug testing, etc. needed to hire

Training:

Ensures all clinical and support staff is properly trained

Coordinates specific training as needed

Physician Contracts:

Ensures all physicians who utilize our lab have an updated contract on file

Ensures the contract is being followed by both parties

Physician Billing:

Maintains billing for any outside physicians who utilize our lab/staff

Sends spreadsheet with broken down costs of items, case log, and time spent on

procedures for the month to providers billing department

Coordinates with billing department to make sure we receive correct payment and in a

timely manner

Financials:

Coordinates with accounting and administration to review budget and create a proper

plan to correct any issues

Education:

Works alongside Manager to coordinate in-service's for clinical staff

Coordinates ACLS and BLS classes for staff as needed

Sets up required training

Policies:

Monitors current policies and looks for improvements

Coordinates with medical director to update and create policies

Onboarding:

Coordinates with HR for new hires to ensure all onboarding training and

acknowledgements have been completed

Ensures employee understands how to properly use paycor and is familiar with benefits,

handbook, etc.

Coordinate with HR for new hire orientation

Patient Care:

Has the ability to cover all clinical and support roles

Eforcse:

Maintains and updates provider's login so when eforcse is needed it is readily available to

access

Ensure that eforcse is being used as necessary by staff members

Employee Mileage:

Ensures staff members turn in their mileage in a timely manner

Checks for accuracy of all mileage forms

Submits staff mileage to accounting in a timely manner

Envi: Creates purchase orders as needed

Receives incoming orders and verifies accuracy of orders

Coordinates with vendor if any issues arise with orders

Communicates with accounting department on any open issues

Ensures the usage is being input accurately during procedures

Ensures inventory items are as accurate as possible
