The Freight Forwarding Import Specialist is responsible for handling the day-to-day sea freight and domestic shipments, from pricing to delivery.

Compensation & Benefits:

    Duties:
    • Receive, review and process customer s instructions
    • Identify the most appropriate route for international shipments, based on cost, service and transit time.
    • Communicate shipment instructions to offices around the world.
    • Update daily operations overview
    • Track and trace shipments until delivery and inform customer accordingly
    • Review International shipping documentation (Bill of Lading, certificate of origins, commercial invoices, etc.)
    • Check and process vendor invoices
    • Create quotes at agreed margins
    • Arrange and follow domestic transportation from port to door.
    • Identify issues and possible solutions for international transportation. Notify Supervisor, Sales team and customer.
    • Process insurance claims through with in-house Claim department
      Qualifications:
      • Experience in International and domestic Transportation
      • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
      • Ability to multitask and problem solve
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in interacting both with clients and colleagues in the US and around the world;
      • Strong interpersonal skills to fit in and thrive in a small team
        Education & Experience:
        • High School Diploma or GED
        • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, Outlook, MS PowerPoint & MS Word)
        • 2 years minimum experience in Transportation
          Additional Information:
          • Full time position for local residents. Work visa / sponsorship is not available
          • Hybrid work-from-home/Office with minimum 3 days in the office
          • French speaking will be a plus
