Position Summary: The Controller will oversee all financial and accounting activities, emphasizing cost accounting. This role ensures financial accuracy, provides strategic insights, and supports operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive cost accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Inventory Accounting.
  • Manage cost accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Implement cost accounting systems for accurate product costing and inventory valuation.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct cost-benefit and profitability analyses.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team.
  • Partner with operations and supply chain for cost management.
  • Develop financial models for strategic initiatives.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 in cost accounting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
  • Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling experience.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience with a proven ability to manage and develop a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
  • Experience with process improvement and change management.
