The University of Florida Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Neuroanesthesiology, is seeking neuroanesthesia-trained anesthesiologists to join our esteemed team, situated in the sunny and vibrant city of Gainesville, FL.

The Opportunity

The neuroanesthesia division boasts a boasts a vibrant, growing academic practice which includes a fellowship program. Our neuro anesthesiologists work closely with neuromedicine and neurosurgical surgical specialists in a collegial environment that fosters collaboration.

The Department of Anesthesiology comprises:

  • 90+ faculty anesthesiologists

  • 9 active research faculty

  • 88 residents

  • 25 fellows

  • 75 CRNA/CAAs

  • 40+ dedicated support and administrative staff

Department Statistics:

  • Coverage for 67 operating rooms

  • Coverage for 16 NORA locations

  • 60,000+ anesthesia cases performed a year

  • Publish an average of 130+ peer-reviewed publications per year

Minimum Requirements:

  1. M.D./D.O. or equivalent

  2. Neuroanesthesia experience

  3. Skills in clinical care, research, and/or education

  4. ABA certification/eligibility

  5. Credentials to obtain a State of Florida physician's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong clinical skills

  • Dedication to patient care

  • Passion for advancing the field of anesthesiology through research and scholarly activities
