Schedule: Work hours may range from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM to accommodate DEA training activities.

Facility Hours: 5:00 AM 7:00 PM

Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Health Science, with a focus/minor in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or related field.
  • Masters degree in Athletic Training or related field (preferred).
  • Certified Athletic Trainer.
  • Valid license or eligibility for licensure in the State/Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • BLSHCP and First Aid certification.
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience, preferably in collegiate level or sports medicine.
  • Emergency Medical Technician/Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certification (preferred).
  • Conditioning and Strength Certified/Specialist certification (ACSM, Cooper Institute or equivalent).
  • Valid state drivers license.

Job Duties:

  • Provide care for musculoskeletal injuries/illnesses and oversee prevention, safety, and welfare of DEA students and staff.
  • Conduct day-to-day clinical operations including injury evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely care and documentation.
  • Participate in high-risk activities and monitor trainee welfare.
  • Support human performance/physical training programs.
  • Develop and deliver educational sessions.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies.
  • Adhere to medical protocols and procedures.
  • Provide emergency care within scope of practice.
  • Perform physical tasks as required.
