We are on the lookout for a dynamic, detail-oriented Consulting Sr. Staff Accountant to join our team in the construction industry. This role demands a strong background in lease account reconciliation, with a focus on maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, preparing and distributing weekly management reports, and handling ad hoc financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a knack for addressing accounting issues, maintaining fixed assets and depreciation, and supporting the team on all accounting matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly management reports to facilitate decision making and strategic planning.
  • Identify and reconcile financial discrepancies, providing solutions to rectify any issues.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required, providing insights and recommendations to the management team.
  • Prepare and post job cost transfers, ensuring all costs are accurately allocated.
  • Maintain accrual and amortization schedules, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Manage the company's fixed assets and depreciation schedules, ensuring all assets are properly recorded and depreciated.
  • Provide support to the team on any accounting issues, offering solutions and advice to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain inventory records, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
  • Construction accounting experience is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and advanced organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in lease account reconciliation is a must.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
