We are a leading manufacturing company seeking an experienced and dedicated Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in our manufacturing facilities, ensuring the safety of our employees and the smooth operation of our production lines. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities

As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for:

1. Installing, inspecting, and maintaining fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72 and other relevant fire alarm codes.
2. Performing routine checks and inspections to ensure all systems are functioning properly and meet safety standards.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing faults in fire alarm systems, including wiring and other electrical components.
4. Providing technical guidance on fire alarm systems to staff and management.
5. Keeping up-to-date records of all inspections, installations, and maintenance activities.
6. Responding to emergencies promptly and taking appropriate action.
7. Keeping abreast of advancements in fire alarm technology and safety standards.
8. Training other staff members on the operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
9. Collaborating with other technicians and staff to ensure the safety of the manufacturing facility.
10. Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
2. A recognized qualification in Nicet, Commercial, Electrical, Inspecting, Installing, Maintaining, NFPA 72, Fire Alarm Codes, or a related field.
3. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of fire alarm systems, including their installation, maintenance, and repair.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical staff.
6. A strong commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. The ability to respond to emergencies promptly and effectively.
9. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various company locations as required.
