What will your role be?

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Production Expeditor to join our team. This vital role ensures the smooth and timely flow of materials and components at an aerospace supplier location to ensure on time and on quality delivery. The ideal candidate will actively participate in program meetings, address and resolve material shortages, and expedite orders to prevent delays. This position demands strong communication and coordination skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and maintain production efficiency in a complex aerospace manufacturing environment.

Activities:

  • Provide updates and reports on shortages, part replacements, backorders, and other material issues that could impact customer deliveries
  • Provide insight on how to achieve forecast demand with knowledge gained from operations.
  • Track completion of complex and high risks assemblies.
  • Perform daily Gemba Walks with operations.
  • Facilitate material transfers between workstations to optimize resources
  • Provide daily update on NCR and manufacturing quality issues.
  • Provide weekly high-level reports on shortages and Line of Balance

What skills and qualifications are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in Aerospace.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a production control, inventory control, or stockroom role
  • Proficient in working with ERP systems
  • Strong prioritization, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across the organization
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changes
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adjust priorities in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to lift and move material which may weigh up to 30 lbs.
